PRACTICING YOGA

The BREATH is the LIFE FORCE, therefore the most important part of the practice.

Practice promotes BETTER BALANCE in the body.

REPEATATIVE MOVEMENTS SOOTHE the nervous system and PREPARE the body when holding a pose.

Exercising AWARENESS allows one to OBSERVE how the breath and movement AFFECT the body.
Proper ALIGNMENT promotes better body FUNCTION for daily living.

Taking it SLOW helps to PREVENT INJURIES and allows time to NOTICE changes in the body & mind.

Yoga is a POWERFUL TOOL for HEALTH & HEALING. It gives you space to honor your body.

The BODY is CHANGING daily due to age or illness/injury, etc., so EXPLORATION of movement and the breath in one's own body is important.

JUST BREATHE!

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Pam Burkett

I am a wife, daughter, mother, and Mamaw, also dog and chicken mom.

I am a lover of instrumental music and find it speaks to me in various forms.

I am a member of my local garden club and love to be barefooted with my hands working the soil.

I can sit for hours in nature, observing the wildlife and soaking up the earth's energy.

I am a 200-Hr Certified Yoga Teacher, a Certified Aqua Yoga Teacher and an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor.

I have training in Massage Therapy and have an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting.

I love to teach Body Awareness in movement with a sprinkle of Anatomy thrown in!
My specialties are Gentle Yoga, Chair Yoga and Aqua Yoga.

I work with adults to help them find BETTER BALANCE, INCREASED FLEXIBILITY, build more STRENGTH, and OBSERVE their own bodies so they can live their daily lives with More Ease.

I found Yoga by accident, waiting for my local gym to start group classes. There were no teachers available, so I decided I would take some training to get something started. Yoga it was!

As I began to learn and teach, I noticed changes in my body and mind. The aches and pains of my Scoliosis and Arthritis were beginning to ease up and I began feeling better in my body.

This was the beginning of my now LOVE and JOURNEY with Yoga!

It is now my passion to share Yoga as a tool to help others find More Ease in Movement for their life!
